Our story
I wrote a song for my dog. I haven't stopped since.
Hi, I'm Chris — the founder of Tailsong. I didn't set out to start a company. I just wanted one song that actually sounded like Biscuit.
Biscuit is the reason any of this exists. He's a goofy, sock-stealing, door-greeting menace, and one night I tried to put down everything he is before I forgot a single piece of it. It turned into a song. I played it on a loop for a week straight.
Then a friend heard it and wanted one for her dog. Then her friend did. Then people I'd never met were trusting me with the most personal thing they had — sometimes a birthday or a homecoming, sometimes a goodbye.
Today Tailsong is a small team of lyricists, producers, and unapologetic pet people. Every song starts with a story from someone who loves their companion the way I love mine — and ends as a keepsake they replay for years. We review every song by hand, and we treat memorial songs with the gentleness they deserve.
