Welcome to Tailsong. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tailsong.com and the songs we create for you (together, the "Service"). "Tailsong," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Tailsong brand and the team behind it. By placing an order or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

This is a plain-language summary of our terms, provided for convenience and not as legal advice. We recommend having it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it.

1. Overview

Tailsong creates original, custom songs about your pet based on the information and story you provide. When you place an order, you're commissioning a personalised creative work that our team produces and reviews before delivery. These Terms apply to every order and to your use of our website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate and your own to share.

3. Orders & Payment

Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars and may change from time to time, though changes will never affect an order you've already paid for. Payment is collected in full at the time you place your order.

• An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the details and story you submit.
• We may decline or cancel an order that violates these Terms, with a full refund.

4. Delivery

Standard delivery is within 3 days of receiving your completed order details. If you choose 24-hour rush delivery, we prioritise your song for completion within one business day. Delivery times are estimates and begin once we have everything we need from you.

Rush orders

Because rush delivery commits our team's time immediately, the rush upgrade fee is non-refundable once production has begun, even if the base order is later refunded under our guarantee.

5. The 30-Day Guarantee & Refunds

We stand behind every Tailsong with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with your song, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll work with you to make it right — including revisions — or issue a refund of the base order price.

• Refund requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.
• The 24-hour rush upgrade fee is non-refundable once production has begun.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

6. The Creative Nature of the Service

A custom song is a subjective creative work. We pour real care into interpreting your story, but musical taste is personal, and we can't guarantee that a finished song will match a specific expectation you had in mind. What we do guarantee is our care, our review process, and the money-back promise above. By ordering, you acknowledge the creative, interpretive nature of what you're commissioning.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the personal story, details, and any photos you provide. By submitting them, you grant Tailsong a licence to use that material solely to create, review, and deliver your song.

The finished song is delivered to you for personal, non-commercial use — to play, keep, and share with friends and family. Tailsong retains ownership of the underlying composition and production techniques. If you'd like a commercial or broadcast licence, contact us and we'll discuss options.

8. AI-Assisted Production

We believe in being honest about how our songs are made. Tailsong uses modern AI-assisted music production tools to help bring your lyrics and chosen style to life affordably and quickly. Every song is shaped and reviewed by real people — a lyricist, a producer, and a final reviewer — before it reaches you. We never simply hand you raw, unreviewed output.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, hateful, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share. You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to create content intended to harass or harm others. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

10. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third parties to operate — for example, a payment processor, an email provider, and hosting and storage providers. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' own terms, and we aren't responsible for their acts or omissions. See our Privacy Policy for details on the data they handle.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind beyond those expressly stated here and the guarantee above. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tailsong and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tailsong and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of content you submit, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

13. Resolving Disputes

We're a small team and we want every issue resolved fairly. If you ever have a concern, please contact us first — most things are sorted out quickly and amicably. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Tailsong operates, and nothing in them limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your home country.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order-specific details shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Tailsong regarding the Service.
