Your trust matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Tailsong collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. This is a plain-language template and not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.

What We Collect

We collect only what we need to create your song and run our business:

  • Order details — your name, email address, and the story, pet details, and any photos you choose to share with us.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider (we never store full card numbers ourselves).
  • Usage data — basic, mostly anonymous information about how you use our website, such as pages visited and device type.

How We Use It

We use your information to create and deliver your song, communicate with you about your order, provide support, process payments, prevent fraud, and improve our Service. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments via Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you pay, your card details are submitted directly to Stripe under their own privacy and security terms. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits of your card) but never your full card number.

Email via Our Provider

We use a third-party email provider to send order confirmations, delivery notifications, and occasional updates. Your email address is shared with this provider solely to deliver these messages. You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, though we'll still send essential messages about your order.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site functions.

Data Retention

We keep your order information for as long as needed to deliver your song, provide support, and meet legal and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see "Your Rights" below.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct or update it.
  • Request that we delete it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, just get in touch and we'll respond promptly.
